How to stay positive during difficult times

Maintaining a positive attitude is one of the hardest things to do. Having a negative frame of mind is incredibly easy, which is why some people are clueless about how bad their frame of mind is.

It’s harder to be good than it is to be bad, especially if you’re facing a plethora of problems.

How to stay positive during difficult times takes a lot of dedication and work, but the rewards that you’ll receive from the universe for choosing to walk the path of good are endless.

The importance of positivity

You are an energy being; you emit to your surroundings what you feel and think. If you choose to think negatively, you’ll find that negative things keep happening around you but simply choosing to be positive will bring about a lot of positive things to you and those around you.

Knowing and believing that positive thinking attracts positive results will change your life for the better.

Change your negative thoughts to positive ones.

Embrace all of your emotions

If you’re faced with a difficult time, it’s best to not suppress any emotions that arise within you. Emotions are your body’s coping system. Choosing to embrace all your emotions will allow you to evaluate the core reasons why your body is reacting.

Whenever you suppress any thought or emotion, you’re robbing yourself of the opportunity to learn from the situation that’s affecting you.

Your goal should always be to understand yourself better. The more difficult situations you’re exposed to, the more experience you’ll gain to easily handle a similar situation in the future.

Difficult times are lessons in disguise.

Choose to be positive

Positivity is a choice. You should read that again so here it is: Positivity is a Choice! When you feel like you’ve been stuck in a dark tunnel for an incredible amount of time, choosing to believe everything will work out perfectly will bring about a quicker change than wallowing in that darkness.

Positive thinking attracts positive outcomes.

We all inevitably go through difficult times but how we come out of it is what will enlighten us on the type of person we truly are. Self-doubt and constant criticism only weaken your personal power.

Coming out of a difficult situation stronger and better than before is the ideal outcome. The universe puts you in difficult situations to elevate you to become a better version of yourself.

The next time you ask yourself, “Why is this always happening to me?” Whenever something bad has happened, try changing that negative connotation to a positive question and ask this instead, “What am I supposed to be learning from this situation?”

Difficult times never last but you will, so when a negative thought presents itself to you nip it in the bud immediately by saying, “I choose positivity”
